Zula Faye Day

Mrs. Zula Faye Day, 74, of Dawson, passed away Tuesday, May 09, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Leesburg. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 12, 2017 in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home, 375 US Highway 19 S. Leesburg, GA 31763. Rev. Pete Scharber will officiate and the family will receive friends following the service. Born January 24, 1943 in Dawson, Mrs. Day was the daughter of the late Wilson and Jessie Priest Pace. She was a loving homemaker who cared well for her family. She enjoyed playing soft ball in her younger years and loved to fish. Mrs. Day was a member of First Baptist Church of Dawson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Day was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Day and brother, Wilson Cain. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Connie Davis and Alan of Leesburg; son, Kenny Day of Dawson; sister, Margaret Pace of Dawson; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin Pace and Lucille of Dawson; 2 grandchildren, Brittany Cowart and Amanda Franks both of Leesburg and 5 great-grandchildren, Caitlin Cowart, Brandon Suggs, Braylon Suggs, Kaylee Franks and Makenna Franks all of Leesburg. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to The Julie McKendree Kidney Transplant Fund at Bank of Terrell, PO BOX 389 Dawson, GA 39842. Joseph W.
