Zara Ann Kelly

Zara Ann Kelly, 85, of Leesburg, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Lee County Health and Rehab.

According to her wishes, there will be no formal services.

Born June 22, 1939, in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Zara Shuttleworth Kay. She spent her years as a teacher and retired after many faithful years of sharing her passion for education. In her free time, she loved trips to her favorite place, the beach. A beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great- grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Constance Kay.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, James Edward Wirkus, Brian Peter Wirkus, Zara Ann Wirkus, Katrina Mercado, Marta Kelly, Magdalena Monroy; sister, Mary Goss; 5 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
