William Martin Hammack

Mr. William Martin Hammack, 55, of Leesburg, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at his home. Services honoring the life of Mr. Hammack will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Philema Road Baptist Church, 114 Stocks Dairy Rd. Leesburg, GA. 31763. Bro. Johnny White will officiate and the family will visit with friends following the service at the church. Born March 7, 1961 in Albany, Mr. Hammack was the son of the late Walter W. Hammack and Sarah Reese Barfield. He proudly served his country in The United States Army. He also worked in Federal service for over 34 years in which 30 of those years was with the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping was an avid Atlanta Falcons fan. Mr. Hammack was a member of Philema Road Baptist Church of Leesburg. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hammack was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry, Dale and Michael Hammack; sister, Tina Young and brother-in-law, Mike Fox. Survivors include his daughter, Shana L. Hammack Byrd of Albany; son, Jesse Daryl Hammack of Leesburg; two sisters, Gloria Fox and Ann and Tommy Weeks all of Leesburg and a grandson, Jacob Wyatt Byrd.
