Mr. Wayne Cooper, 52, of Leesburg, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Willson Hospice House in Albany. A memorial gathering honoring Wayne’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2019 at The Pointe, 238 Cedric St, Leesburg, GA 31763, with Pastor Carl Barnhardt officiating. Wayne was born November 15, 1966 in Camp Lejeune, NC to the late Walter Leo Cooper and Carrie Ruth South Cooper. He was a faithful and dedicated member of The Pointe Church of Leesburg and spent years doing charity work for Veterans. He founded Southwest Georgia Fellowship Foundation where he would send care packages overseas to the military men and women fighting for our country. Though he was always doing for others, above all, he loved his family dearly. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Cooper; 7 children, Anthony Cooper (Babette Croft), Michael Cooper (Tiffany Sullivan), Jakob Jones, Austin Gilmore (Ashlyn Etheridge), Adam Cooper, Haley Angerame, and Rodney Cooper; grandchildren, Payton, Thomas, John, Braiden, Dalton, Sarah, Abi, Gunner, and Jonah; great grandchild, Michael; Cheryl Bertorelli and Patricia Green who were like his second mothers; sister, Shelly Angerame; and a host of church family and friends In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family and are greatly needed and appreciated during this time.
