Virginia "Renee" Goodman

Virginia “Renee” Goodman, of Leesburg, passed away on October 6, 2023, after a brief illness.

A memorial gathering honoring her life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home.

Born January 25, 1963, in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of Mrs. Lorraine Denman Vilaseco. She graduated from Albany State University with a degree in accounting and worked as an accountant for many years and thoroughly enjoyed her job. She was honest, loved people, and was a wonderful person. Renee was family oriented and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, and had become a top-notch horticulturist and could grow just about anything. She most recently had a garden full of tomatoes and potatoes that she enjoyed watching come to fruition. A beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tony Goodman; stepfather, Heriberto Vilaseco; and her brothers, Stephen Edward Walls, and Fredrick Clayton Walls.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Lorraine Vilaseco of Leesburg; son, Dewayne Bentley Goodman; brother, David Walls; grandson, Bentley Potter; her beloved dog, Susie Q; and a host of extended family and friends that loved her dearly.
