Shirley Judy Motta

Mrs. Shirley Judy Motta, 66, of Leesburg, unexpectedly passed away on December 8, 2024. 

A Visitation and viewing for family and friends will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home in Leesburg. 

Born August 23, 1958, in Berlin, Germany, she was the daughter of Sydney and Karin Kozerinsky. Shirley worked as an independent contractor for several different organizations including GrubHub and Doordash. In her free time, she enjoyed making jewelry, cooking and baking, and she especially enjoyed the Christmas season. Affectionately known as “Wammie” by her grandchildren, she always showed up for her family. Spending time with her grandchildren was the highlight of her life and she made sure to attend as many of their events as she could. A loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all. 

Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Sydney Kozerinsky.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 41 years, John Motta of Leesburg; 3 children, Nikki Barrett (Robert), Karin Sakacs (Andrew), and William Motta (Lindsay); mother, Karin Kozerinsky; 8 grandchildren, Matthew Barrett, Hailey Sakacs, Killian Sakacs, Midknite Motta, Daemon Motta, Tobias Motta, Legion Motta, and Flora Motta; sister, Carroll Kozerinsky (Tom); brother, Mitchell Kozerinsky (Margie); and a host of extended family members and friends that loved her dearly. 

Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home was given the honor to serve the Motta family.
