Sharon Sue Rogers

Sharon Sue Rogers, 75, of Leesburg, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2020, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Following the service Sharon will be laid to rest in the Leesburg Cemetery. Born July 14, 1945, in Vincennes, IN, Sharon was the daughter of the late Harry William Oliver and Helen Francis Fields Oliver. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Thundering Springs Baptist Church. She spent her years as a homemaker caring for her family and home. She loved to fish, draw and paint, go to yard sales, and play her guitar. Sharon always stayed busy and enjoyed keeping her house clean. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry Oliver, and Charles William Oliver. Survivors include her beloved husband, Charles Rogers of Leesburg; 6 children, Tonya Sue Bass Hayes (Vincent), Sharon Darlene Bass (David Welch), Chester Franklin Bass (Jennifer), William Anthony Bass (Jennifer Lynn Herndon), Amy Loraine Ledford (Chuck), and Charles Matthew Rogers; brother, William Thomas Oliver; sister, Angela Neal; step-siblings, Kate Drummond, Joyce Birchell, and Charlie Williams; 16 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
