Shannon Hammock

Ms. Shannon Hammock, 45, of Lee County, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, in Albany. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Philema Road Baptist Church of Leesburg with Pastor Aaron MCculley offciating. The family will visit with friends following the service. Shannon was born February 6, 1977, in Albany. She had a big heart, loved her children and family dearly and will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her father, Roger “Bubba” Dale Hammock and her grandmother, Sarah Mae Barfield. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Alyssa Hammock of Albany, and Izzy Rose Daniel of Richmond; mother, Liz Hammock of Leesburg; siblings, David “Red” McDowell of Savannah, Marvin Sheffield of Albany, and Travis Sheffield of Tallahassee; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
