Samuel "Dewey" George, Jr.

Mr. Samuel “Dewey” George, Jr., 80, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021. Mr. George was born in Columbus, GA, son of the late Samuel Dewey George, Sr. and Dora Bruce George. He loved his family most of all and enjoyed spending time with each of them. He also enjoyed going to Abbeville and visiting with his old school buddies and hanging out with his group of friends at The Albany Mall. He retired from CSX Railroad as an agent and was of the Christian faith. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his beloved wife, Elizabeth Sacco George of Leesburg; sons, Ken George and Cathy of Leesburg and Michael George all of Leesburg; 2 sisters, Lois Spears of Hawkinsville, and Frances Standridge of Tennessee; and his 3 grandchildren that he adored, Rachel, Emily, and Lauren; several nieces and nephews.
