Samuel Anthony Smith

Mr. Samuel Anthony Smith, 68, of Dawson, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2026.

Born on June 12, 1955, in Dawson, Mr. Smith was the son of the late Joseph and Claudia Brown Smith. He worked as a truck driver for many years and will be remembered as a devoted father. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his children, Melissa Adkins of Unadilla, Joseph S. Smith of Dawson, and Jimmy Lee Smith of Gainesville, FL; 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

In accordance with the wishes of Mr. Smith no services are planned, and his remains will be buried in the family plot in Parrott, GA.

Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home of Leesburg was given the honor to serve the Smith family.
