Sally Rebecca Allen

Mrs. Sally Rebecca Allen, 76, of Leesburg, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, August 6, 2018. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Victory Baptist Church, 1489 Philema Rd. Leesburg, GA 31763. Her pastor, Rev. Robin Chaplin will officiate, and the family will receive friends following the service at the church. Born May 20, 1942 in Nashville, GA, Mrs. Allen was the daughter of the late Marion and Gladys Sutton Carver. She worked at Coats & Clark for several years but was mostly proud to be a homemaker. She cared well for her family and loved Jesus with all her heart. She enjoyed cooking, and many said she made the best greens. She was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church of Leesburg, as well as a fervent prayer warrior. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanine Snow and two brothers, Monroe and John Carver. She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Ray Allen of Leesburg; children, Tammy Holmes (Jerry) of Doerun, Sylvia Wilkerson (Terry) of Sparks, Carla Rey (Brett) of Leesburg, Melissa Carroll (Samuel) of Texas and Travis Ray Allen, Jr. (Becky) of Andersonville; son-in-law, Steve Snow of Arkansas; 3 sisters, Velma Harbuck, Linda Kunkle and Anita Watson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
