Riley Joe Harrell

Mr. Riley Joe Harrell, Sr. “Joey” passed away early Tuesday, April 21, 2020, just after midnight. He was 59 years of age. A graveside funeral service for the family only will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery. Joey was born on August 7, 1960, to Joe Wayne and Betty Jo Harrell in Albany, GA. He loved to fish, sit on the porch, tell jokes, and watch movies. Joey was a hard worker and throughout his life he worked as a fireman, a machine operator at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company, and as a mechanic. He was good with cars and loved to laugh. He loved people and people loved him. Joey enjoyed to joke around, had a heart of gold, and was a friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all. Along with his parents, Joey was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Harrell. Joey is survived by his two sons and their wives, Riley Joe Harrell, Jr. and Shelly and Randall Wayne Harrell and Kendra and his younger brother Billy Harrell. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Asher Riley, Emree Kate, and Dylan Rylee. As well as various nieces and nephews and extended family still living around his hometown.
