Rev. Robert Louis Joiner

Rev. Robert Louis Joiner, 80, of Weeki Wachee, FL and formerly of Leesburg, GA, peacefully passed away at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL, on Monday, January 18, 2021. Rev. Joiner will lie in state on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home in Leesburg. During this time friends and family may sign the guest book and pay their respects. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Matthew Schluckebier will officiate. Born April 25, 1940 in Grady County, Rev. Joiner was the son of the late Roy and Evelyn Wynn Joiner. He worked making cabinets and for many years served as a Pentecostal minister with the Pentecostal Holiness Church denomination. He was proud to help build two churches in the Tampa Florida area. More than anything he loved God and his family and will be greatly missed by them all. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Annis Opal Joiner. Survivors include his wife, Rhoda Simmons Joiner of Weeki Wachee, FL; step-children, Robin Loyd, Ruthann Hunniecutt, Ralph Loyd and Rick Loyd; brothers and sisters-in-law’s, Wayne and Frances Joiner of Troy AL and Charlie and Sonia Joiner of Plant City, FL; several nieces and nephews.
