Rev. Flora Bea Ramsey

Rev. Flora Bea Ramsey, 93, of Lee County, saw the face of Jesus the one she so loved and adored in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 20, 2024.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Life Church of Leesburg with visitation one hour prior to the service. Revs. Mathew Schluckebier, Bill Saunders, and Joseph W. Jones will officiate. Following the funeral, she will be laid to rest next to her husband in The Riverside Cemetery.

Born on March 19, 1930, in Leesburg, GA, Rev. Ramsey was the daughter of the late Howard S. Dudley and Zadie Smith Dudley. Rev. Ramsey attended Rhema Bible Training College of Oklahoma and was an ordained Pentecostal minister of The Gospel. She lovingly proclaimed the precious word of God to anyone who would listen. She preached all over the United States and abroad with her beloved husband. She lived in Carrabelle, FL for 28 years where she was a faithful member of Carrabelle Church of God. Rev. Ramsey and her late husband, "Papa Dude" owned and operated a charter fishing company there and made many friends throughout the years. After moving back to Georgia, she loved fishing on the lake at Ft. Gaines with family and friends. Rev. Ramsey was currently a member of Life Church of Leesburg where she taught the Adult Sunday School Class faithfully for many years. Her devoted love for Jesus, gentle spirit, and great faith will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her until we meet again in Heaven.

In addition to her parents, Rev. Ramsey was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Alex "Papa Dude" Ramsey and her son-in-law, Larry Morris.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Rev. Brenda Morris of Lee County, Jon Allan and Julie of Lee County, and Mark Ramsey of Albany; 3 grandchildren, Barry, David, and Jon Nicholas; several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
