Peggy Jean Skinner

Mrs. Peggy Jean Skinner, 81, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. 

Funeral services honoring her life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home with visitation one-hour prior beginning at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Tim Bass will officiate. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in the Leesburg Cemetery beside her beloved husband. 

Born March 26, 1943, in Norfolk, VA, Peggy was the daughter of the late Edwin and Marie Taylor. She had a love for children and worked for many years as a paraprofessional with the Lee County School System at Kinchafoonee Primary School until her retirement. Peggy was a dedicated wife and mother and truly lived for her family. Nothing made her happier than having her entire family together sharing a meal that she had prepared. She was known for her kind heart and making everyone feel welcomed. A wonderful mother, granny, sister, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all. 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Skinner, and her stepson, Paul Skinner. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Debbie Powell of Leesburg, Susan Myers (Dean) of Crawfordville, FL, and Stephanie Conley (Brian) of Leesburg; stepdaughter, Sharon Skinner of Sorento, FL; 12 grandchildren, Justin Powell (Rebekah), Jenny Clark (Jeremy), Miranda Rollins (Bo), Heather Snyder (Lance), Levi Conley (Sofia), Reagan Spires (Dylan), Brantley Conley, Ivey Conley, JP Skinner, Harley Skinner, Amber Martin (James), and Jesse Thompson; 15 great grandchildren, Dawson, Rosie, Ava, Ella, River, Leelyn, London, Makayla, Harley, Nova, Levi Jr., Swade, Salem, Elliana, and Jamie; sister, Janet Love; and a host of extended family members and friends that loved her dearly. 

Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home was given the honor to serve Peggy’s family.
