Peggy Bass

Peggy Lee Bass, 59, of Albany, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home, 375 US Highway 19 S. Leesburg, GA 31763. Rev. Robin Chaplin will officiate with interment to follow in the Leesburg Cemetery. Born September 7, 1958 in Moultrie, Peggy was the daughter of the late Ernest “Jay” Bass and Minnie Sellers Bass. She was a nurse for many years and was also known as the farmer girl of the family. She grew up on a farm and throughout her life she always enjoyed planting a garden. She grew the most beautiful flowers and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her daughter, Hope Driver and Jesse of Albany; grandchildren, Austin Johnson and Andrew Dennis; two sisters, Jackie Thaggard of Leesburg and Carol Carver of Douglas and her two brothers, Buddy and Tim Bass both of Doerun.
