CPO Paul Edward Hall, USN (Ret.) 80, of Putney, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Bethel Holiness Tabernacle, in Putney. Pastor Noah Phillips will officiate with interment to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the church.
Born February 8, 1943, in Doerun, Mr. Hall was the son of the late Willie C. Hall and Laura Belle Cox Hall. His mother passed away when he was only 9 days old and his aunt and uncle, Fannie “Nell” Carr and Edward Carr raised him as their own. He faithfully served our country in the United States Navy and retired with 22 years of service. He was known as a wonderful provider for his family and loved them all dearly. His children and grandchildren were his life. Mr. Hall was a member of Bethel Holiness Tabernacle of Putney.
In addition to his parents, aunt, and uncle, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha Gayle Lasseter Hall and his son, Paul “Eric” Hall.
Survivors include his daughter, Heather Phillips of Putney; daughter-in-law, Sedida Hall; 5 grandchildren, Caleb and Lucy Phillips of Albany, Jacob Phillips of Illinois, Abagail Phillips, Chloe Phillips, and Joseph Hall all of Putney; and 3 great-grandchildren, Ava Phillips, Sophia Phillips, and Gabby Phillips all of Putney; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his Bethel Church family.
