Ottis "Jerry" Elkins, Jr.

Ottis “Jerry” Elkins, Jr., 60, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away at his home on Sunday, July 24, 2022. A Graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Pinecrest Memory Gardens of Mitchell County. Born August 30, 1961, in Macon he was the son of the late Ottis Jerry Elkins, Sr. and Mrs. Janice Phelps. Jerry was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed attending church when he was able. He loved to fish, listen to country and gospel music, and just get in the car and go for a ride. He always had a smile on his face and loved people. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His father Ottis Jerry Elkins, Sr. preceded him in death. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Janice Phelps and King Phelps of Albany; siblings, James Michael Elkins (Caroline) of Valdosta, Carol Denise Roberts of Thomasville, and Lisa Ann Elkins of Covington, KY; and his caregiver Annette Hawkins and her family.
