Norman Reuben Breeden

Norman Reuben Breeden, 84, of Leesburg, GA passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the home of a friend.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Andersonville National Cemetery with Rev. Grady Morey officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home.


Mr. Breeden was born in Leesburg, GA and graduated from LCHS in 1957. Upon graduation, he enlisted and served in the United States Marine Corp until 1960. Over the next years, he was employed with the Georgia Power Company and the Pacific Power Company. He farmed and crop dusted in Lee County under the business name Breeden Ag Aviation. Mr. Breeden was the police chief of Leesburg from 1985-1987. He managed several golf course pro shops from 1990 until 2002 with the last being Grand Island Country Club in Lee County. Mr. Breeden was a member of Westview Baptist Church.


Survivors include three children, Mark Breeden, Penelope Malcolm, Steve Breeden and their mother, Shelby Breeden; four grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; and his loving companion, Juanita Benson.
