Mr. William Larry Watson

October 29, 1943 — July 22, 2018

Mr. William Larry Watson, 74, of Leesburg, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Willson Hospice House. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church of Albany. Rev. Josh Bower will officiate, and the family will receive friends following the service. Born October 29, 1943 in Union Springs, AL, Mr. Watson was the son of the late William Foy Watson and Emma Kate Connell Watson. He retired from AT&T and was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Albany for many decades. He enjoyed reading, collecting stamps, coins, and baseball cards. He also enjoyed history, especially Civil War history. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and his memory will forever remain. In addition to his parents, Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Farmer and brothers, Gene and Phillip Watson. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Linda Watson of Leesburg; children, Christopher Mark Watson of New York, NY and Lisa Marie Watson of Leesburg; two grandsons, Dalton Dunlap of Newberry, SC and Matthew Dunlap of Leesburg; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Albany, 220 North Jackson St. Albany, GA 31701.
