Michael James Stuart

Mr. Michael James Stuart, 51, of Leesburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2024, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Born on April 16, 1972, in Colquitt, Mr. Stuart served his country in The United States Air Force. He previously worked as a MEP manager with Yates Construction and longtime member of the United Association of Journey and Apprentices of the plumbing and pipefitting industry. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, and fishing, but most of all enjoyed spending time with family.

Michael was of the Christian faith and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Stuart.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy A. Stuart of Leesburg; his mother, Gail and Boyd Pierce of Jakin, GA; his maternal grandmother, Costello Cook of Colquitt; brothers, Tony Stuart (Annie), Max Stuart, Walllace Pierce (Stephanie), Jonathan Pierce, and Richie Vanmater (Stephanie); his sister, Ashley Stuart; and several nieces, and nephews.

The family will host a memorial gathering in Colquitt at a later date.
