Melissa Ann Marshall

Mrs. Melissa Ann Marshall, 46, of Albany, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service honoring her life will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home.

Born June 29, 1976, in Waterbury, CT, she was the daughter of Mr. John Brickett and Robin Locklear. Melissa was currently employed with Brother’s Logistics as a freight broker. In 2010 Melissa married James Michael “Mike” Marshall and together they had just celebrated their 12th anniversary on December 3rd. They were the power couple and so inspiring. Mike was devoted to Melissa, and everyone knew how remarkable their relationship was. It was true love and love at first sight. Melissa was known as a strong, independent, woman who took care of everyone. She was the first person friends and family members went to when they had a problem. She was blunt and honest but loved fiercely. She adored her grandbabies with everything in her and will be greatly missed by all.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, James Michael “Mike” Marshall of Albany; children, Vera Jackson (Christian Medina) of Jacksonville, FL, Meagan Jackson (Will Odom) of Albany, and Champ Marshall of Ellaville; mother, Robin Locklear of Jacksconville, NC; father, John Brickett (Sue) of Thomasville, AL; siblings, Christine Palmer, Cody Sokol, Shylia Sokol; her grandbabies, Aiden Odom and Averie Medina; and a host of extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
