Megan Leigh Potter

Megan Leigh Potter, 31, of Leesburg, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2021, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home with Joseph W. Jones officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Following the service, Megan will be laid to rest in The Leesburg Cemetery. Born September 28, 1989, in Albany, Megan served as the secretary of the family business, Gerald’s Auto in Albany. More than anything she loved playing with her babies and also enjoyed cooking and fishing. She was Baptist by faith. A beloved mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend she will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Johnny Potter; uncle, Jeffrey Potter and her aunts, P.J. Akridge and Mary Riley. Survivors include her children, Maddy Elizabeth Brooke Potter, Bentley DeWayne Potter and Stephen Cole Singleton all of Leesburg; her father and mother, Gerald and Tina Marie Akridge Potter of Leesburg; her brother, Wayne Potter and his wife, Kimberly and their children; paternal grandmother, Bessie Faye Potter of Leesburg and maternal grandparents, Ray and Marilyn Akridge of Leesburg; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
