Mary-Ellen Terry

Mrs. Mary-Ellen Terry, 74, of Lee County and formally of Alpine, NY, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the home of her son.

Born November 13, 1948, in Elmira, NY, Mrs. Terry was the daughter of the late Ivan Jay Vanzile and Jean Gardner Vanzile. She worked in the grocery industry for many years and then worked at Cornell University as an administrative assistant. She enjoyed baking, was of the Christian faith, and loved her family dearly.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Darwin M. Terry.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son and daugher-in-law, Robert and Melissa Terry of Lee County; sister, Donna-Lyn Decker of Vanetten, NY; grandchildren, Charlotte Frisbee and Daniel of Lee County, Marvin Allen and Kirsten of Jacksonville, FL; nephew, Clay Grover and Nicole; great-niece, Olivia Grover; and great-nephew's, Taylor Grover and Paden Grover.

In accordance with the wishes of Mrs. Terry her remains will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date in New York.
