Mary Parker Souther

September 26, 1929 — October 30, 2021

Mrs. Mary Parker Souther, 92, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at her home. Born September 26, 1929, in Inverness, FL, Mrs. Souther was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Donnie Mae Bryant Parker. She and her late husband, Jasper Champion Souther owned and operated S & S R.V.’s for many years in Waycross. She enjoyed volunteering her time by making quilts for babies and duffle bags and caps for the sailors at the naval base. She was talented at sewing and quilting. Mrs. Souther was of the Baptist faith and dearly loved all her family and friends. Survivors include her children, Mary Pamela S. Golden and Johnny of Leesburg, Patricia Carson of Greenville, SC, and Phillip Rodney Souther and Reta of Bethel Island, CA; 5 grandchildren, Shanna L. Darrow of Leesburg, John Dean Golden and his wife, Pam of Fairbanks, AK, Doug Carson and his wife, Miranda Sturn of Vienna, VA, Steve Carson and his wife Miranda of Greenville, SC, and Patricia Carson and her husband, Nathaniel McCrary of Greenville, SC; granddaughter-in-law, Katie Carson of Simpsonville, SC; great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Reagan Darrow, Jake, Evelyn, and Steve Golden, George, Kate, and Jasper Carson, Haley, Sawyer, Brooke, Reese, and Colton Carson, Drayton, and Arietta McCrary, Matthew, Sarah, Deacon Carson; sister-in-law, Sara Parker of Livonia, MI; nieces, Vicki Parker of Chicago, IL, Anne Cardwell of Waycross and Tonya Pool of Waycross; cousin, Sarah Moore of Blackshear, GA. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Souther was also preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Carson and great-grandchild, Olivia Carson. At her request there will be no services and the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to The American Red Cross, American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
