Mrs. Martie Gladys Banner, 82, of Leesburg, entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in the Sunset Cemetery, in Meigs with Joseph W. Jones officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service.
Born January 28, 1941, in Meigs, Gladys was the daughter of the late William and Martie Fleetwood Frazier. She retired after 30 years with T & L Enterprises of Dawson. She was a prayer warrior and absolutely loved her plants. She enjoyed cooking for her family and the table was always spread on the holidays with much love and joy. Mrs. Banner was a Godly lady who loved her Lord and family more than anything. She was a faithful member for many years of the former Liberty Parkway Church of God.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Banner was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul James Banner, and her grandson, Cameron.
Survivors include her children, Amanda Fisk and John of Leesburg, John Banner and Carla of Sasser, and Ameila Nasse of Pensacola, FL; sister, Effie Taylor of Leesburg; grandchildren, Dameion, Alexson, Cameron, Stevie, Kurt, Daniel, Nick; and 5 great-grandchildren.
