Marjorie Anne Doty

Marjorie Anne Doty, 87, of Albany, GA and formerly of Montezuma, IN, Lake Isabella, CA, and Fresno, CA passed away October 12, 2022, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Karl Brehmer.

She was born December 13, 1934, in Martinez, CA. Her husband of 61 years, Oscar Jim Doty, preceded her in death July 20, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Mabel Jennings Farrell and Aloysius P. Farrell; her brother, Bobby Farrell of CA; sister, Peggy Farrell of OR; and brother-in-law, Fred Doty of Salinas, CA.

Survivors include her two daughters, Nancy (Jim) Oloizia of Fresno, CA, and Jamie (Karl) Brehmer of Albany, GA; one son, Mark Doty of CA; one sister, Betty Farrell Doty of Santa Rosa, CA; four grandchildren, Scott (Chirsty) Brehmer of VA, Karen Brehmer (Matt) of MI, Catherine Oloizia of Fresno, CA and Brianna (Sean) Sullivan of Fresno, CA; one great-granddaughter, Emma Sullivan of Fresno; niece, Laura Doty (Tom Allen) of Santa Rosa, CA; nephew, Patrick Doty of Livermore, CA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as many dear friends.

She had retired from Scott Pet Products in Rockville, Indiana where she sewed nylon collars and leads. She also worked for AT&T for many years in California as well as office manager for AirSignal in Fresno.

She was an avid reader and loved to knit, crochet, sew and bake. She also had recently taken up Diamond Painting which she dearly loved. She would work her projects with her daughter, Jamie and son in love, Karl. They would talk, listen to music, watch movies or her beloved Atlanta Braves baseball team.

As per her wishes there will be no services and cremation has been arranged with Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home of Leesburg, GA.
