Margaret "Peggy" Gibbs Baker

Mrs. Margaret “Peggy” Gibbs Baker, 82, of Leesburg, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

The family is honoring the request of Peggy and there will be no public service. The family asks that you do a good deed for someone in need in her memory.

Born April 2, 1940, in Atlanta, Peggy was the daughter of the late Harry Hubert Gibbs and Ruby White Gibbs. She worked as a secretary for many years but was most proud of her family that she loved and raised. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesburg and formerly a member of Raleigh White Baptist Church of Albany. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend she will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Baker of Leesburg; children, Teena Foster and Gordon of Jacksonville, FL and Rick McMillan and Brenda of Leesburg; stepchildren, Kenny Baker of Leesburg, Kathy Brinson and Stan of Shellman, Timmy Baker of Albany; brother, Harry Gibbs and Pat of Fernandina Beach, FL; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
