IMr. Luther Dock Breeden, 91, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Wilson Hospice House, in Albany.
Services honoring his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Leesburg with visitation one hour prior to the service. Dr. Joshua Posey will officiate with inurnment to follow in the Leesburg Cemetery.
Born on August 20, 1933, in Lee County, Luther was the son of the late Dock and Sallie Smith Breeden. After graduating from Lee County High School, he enlisted in The United States Air Force where he served in the Korean Conflict and retired after many years of faithful service. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and going to Biloxi with his wife. Most of all he loved the Lord, his family, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kyle Breeden, brother, Norman Breeden, and sister, Laura Breeden Jackson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Delora Breeden of Leesburg; children, LuRheeta Elliott and Ted of Ray City, Clay Cain and Dianne of Vidalia, and Donna Cain of Tallahassee, FL; his siblings, Dock Breeden and Angie of Leesburg, Billy Breeden and Joy of Leesburg, Donnie Breeden and Wanda of Leesburg, Connie Bacon of Leesburg, and Jerry Breeden and Terry of Vienna; grandchildren, Brian Quinlan and Joni, Matthew Elliott and Aimee, Emilie Marshall and Brian, Jessi Collins and Landon, Shara King and Ryan, Emma Neesmith, Ava Neesmith; great-grandchildren, Christina, Wyatt, Avery, Reid, Riley, Sarah and K.J., and Logan; great-great-grandchildren, Clay, Renee, and Lainey.
