Lucile Smith Fondren

Mrs. Lucile Smith Fondren, 100, of Dawson, peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, May 17, 2019. A private graveside funeral service was held for the family only at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson on Saturday, May 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Folmar Fondren and survived by her son, Phillip Fondren of Dawson. Mrs. Fondren and her late husband owned and operated two grocery stores for many years in Dawson where they proudly served their community. She was loved by many and known as a wonderful wife and mother. Before her health declined, she was a faithful and beloved member of First Baptist Church of Dawson. Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home of Leesburg was given the honor to serve the Fondren family.
