Mrs. Louise Jeanette Fox Porter, 90, of Albany, passed away Friday, February 05, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 8, 2016 at Philema Road Baptist Church, 114 Stocks Dairy Rd. Leesburg, GA. 31763. Bro. Johnny White will officiate with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Born August 5, 1925 in Birmingham, AL, Mrs. Porter was the daughter of the late William Smith and Ella Gardens Smith. She was a loving homemaker and loved her family dearly. In her younger days dancing was one of her greatest enjoyments and in her later years she loved shopping for clothes and going out to eat. Mrs. Porter was a member of Philema Road Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by two husbands, John Daniel Fox and Oscar Porter and two sons, William Daniel Fox and Gordon Michael “Mike” Fox. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John David and Marcia Fox of Baker, FL; daughter she always wanted and loving wife of her son, Mike, Gloria Jean Fox of Leesburg; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and close friends.
