Larry Irvin Giese

GySgt Larry Irvin Giese, 78, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Private funeral services honoring his life will be conducted at Andersonville National Cemetery with military honors. Born November 21, 1943, in Wallace, Idaho, Mr. Giese was the son of the late Edwin and Kathleen Harper Giese. He faithfully served our country in the United States Marine Corps and served during The Vietnam Era. He was of the Christian faith, enjoyed playing Chess and watching television. Most of all he loved his family, and he will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, Mr. Giese was preceded in death by his sister, Terrie Hindman. Survivors include his wife Karel Giese of Leesburg; children, Tammie Clark and David of Leesburg, Michael Giese and Meghan of Leesburg, and Brian Giese of Leesburg; sister, Sandra Colvin; brother, John Thibert; and 5 grandchildren, Alyssa, Zoey, Laci, Katarina, and John.
