Karl Peter Kenison

Mr. Karl Peter Kenison, 74, of Dawson, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023, in Dawson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 19, 2023, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home. Rev. Gail Morrill will officiate with interment to follow in Floral Memory Gardens.

The family will visit with friends one hour before the funeral.

Born August 26, 1948, in Maine, Mr. Kenison was the son of the late Maurice Kenison and Sylvia Gladys Palmer. He received his bachelor’s degree and worked as an electronic engineer for many years. He enjoyed road trips, the beach, and loved reading his Bible. He was known as a praying man who loved God and family most of all. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kenison was preceded in death by his son, Keith Kenison, and his sister, Shirley Taylor.

Survivors include his children, Karl “Timothy Beckum” Kenison of Leesburg, Melissa Kenison of Columbus, Karlee Kenison of Tennessee, and Candi Kenison of Leesburg; siblings, Delmar Kenison of Albany, John Kenison of Albany, Roseanna Parker of Texas, and Mary Kenison of Albany; and grandchildren, Gage, Chasity, Krista, Ceth, Travis, Jonathan, Kendall, October Sky, and Kiera.
