Mrs. Karen Mashburn Rice, 66, of Albany, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at her home.
A funeral mass will be conducted at 9:30 a.m., on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church. Rev. Raymond Levreault will officiate with interment following in Andersonville National Cemetery.
Born on June 22, 1958, in Pittsburg, PA, Karen was the daughter of Robert and Patricia Krysmalsky Mashburn. She was a loving and devoted homemaker that loved The Lord with all her heart. She was and excellent cook, loved to read the Bible and was an avid reader of many books. She lived in Isreal for 10 years where she served in missions. There she worked with many in poverty and gained a great spirit of giving which she continued to have until her passing. She was a faithful member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church of Albany.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Patricia Mashburn of Pennsylvania, her sister, extended family, friends and her church family that she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Ben Rice who served as former pastor of Leesburg Presbyterian Church, and her father, Robert Mashburn.
