Julia Marie Rowland

Mrs. Julia Marie Rowland, 81, of Baconton, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2019, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home. Pastor Ernie Rogers will officiate with interment to follow in the Leesburg Cemetery. Born April 12, 1938, in Quitman, Mrs. Rowland was the daughter of the late Francis “Brooks” Wheeler and Ida Mae Sapp Wheeler. She was a loving and devoted homemaker who loved God and her family. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and was an artist that loved drawing. She was a faithful member of Baconton First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rowland was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Rowland and her first husband, Calvin Brazzeal, Sr. and her siblings, Frances, Willis and Jack. Survivors include her children, Fran Johnson (Roy) of Cordele, Linda Brazzeal of Corneila, Calvin Brazzeal, Jr. (Carol) of Lake Park, Kim Carter of Baconton, Debbie Rowland of Albany; stepchildren, Alan Rowland (Teresa) of Henderson, NC and Bill Rowland, Jr. of Florida Keys; brothers, Joe Wheeler of Quitman and Lowell Wheeler of Yucca Valley, CA; sister, Marion Simmons of Tallahassee, FL; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
