Judith Ann Gerrish

December 10, 1938 — May 12, 2024

Judith Ann Gerrish, 85, of Warner Robins, GA and formerly of River Falls, WI, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

The family will host a memorial service honoring her life at a later date.

Born December 10, 1938, in Minneapolis, MN, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Ardis Keene Frederickson. In 1956 Judith graduated high school in Okabena, MN and in 1960 she graduated from Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN where she earned a degree in teaching. She married her beloved husband Samual on June 18, 1960, and moved to Ellsworth, WI where she taught school. Judith was a faithful member of Ellsworth Methodist Church where she served as the choir director and pianist for many years. She loved to sing and was able to share her love of music by teaching piano lessons to many children in the Ellsworth community. She and her husband moved to River Falls, WI where she continued teaching piano lessons and did so until shortly before moving to Warner Robins, GA. Along with teaching piano, Judith also taught Spanish to many children in River Falls. In her younger years, she loved to travel and spend time outdoors backpacking and camping. As she became older, she would visit the nursing home with her corgi fur companion, Megan, and her appreciation for the outdoors remained with bird watching becoming a favorite hobby of hers. Judith was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samual Gerrish, and her son, David Gerrish.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Anne Gerrish of Warner Robins, GA, Andrew Gerrish of Massachusetts, and Jennifer Gerrish-Lampe of Iowa; siblings, Susan Frederickson Jurisz of Minnesota, Gary Frederickson of Minnesota, Neil Frederickson of North Dakota, and Karen Frederickson of Minnesota; and her four grandchildren, Quinn Gerrish, Maggie Gerrish, Lily Lampe, and Sam Gerrish.

Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home was given the honor to serve Judith’s family.
