Jimmy Dwight Lee, Sr.

Mr. Jimmy Dwight Lee, Sr., 81, of Leesburg, went home with Jesus on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 20, 2022, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home of Leesburg with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Dennis Eckles and Rev. A.B. Stroud will officiate. A private family interment will follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, in Macon. Born December 20, 1940, in Chula, GA, Mr. Lee was the son of the late James H. Lee and Edna Hays Lee. He retired from Kinnett Dairy, enjoyed reading his Bible, fishing, watching the Georgia Bulldogs, and Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed working in his yard, but most of all enjoyed time spent with family. He was a faithful member of Victory Tabernacle Assembly of God for over 40 years where he served as captain of ushers, on the mission board and advisory board. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather he will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy D. Lee, Jr.; daughter, Victoria Lee; and sisters, Nora Blevins, and Kathy Harris. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Linda Lee of Leesburg; children, Mallisa Lee of Atlanta, Kimberly Cooke of Newnan, Carol Ford (Ray) of Dawson, and Scott Boatright (Becky) of Smyrna; daughter-in-law, Cathy Lee of St. Petersburg, FL; 12 grandchildren, Lauren, Brooke, Logan, Christina, Shelley, Kassie, Josh, Emilee, Tanner, Weslyn, Wren, and Jessie; several great-grandchildren; two sister’s-in-law, Judy Smith (Jimmy) and Tricia Kenney (Mark); several nieces and nephews.
