Mr. Jesse Gilbert Driskell, 88, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Willson Hospice House.
A memorial service honoring his life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 808 Liberty Expressway Albany, GA 31705. Bro. Adrian Marshall will officiate, and the family will visit with friends following the service.
Born on June 7, 1936, in Macon, Mr. Driskell was the son of the late Autus G. Driskell and Ruby Donaldson Driskell. He was known as a hard-working man who owned and operated Enhancement Signs of Lee County for many years. He was a faithful member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 60 years and enjoyed sharing spiritual talks with his family, friends and anyone who would listen. Most important to him was his relationship with God Jehovah and his beloved family. He greatly loved studying God’s word and enjoyed golfing. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend he will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 64 years, Carolyn Staples Driskell of Leesburg; children, Debra Babcock and Ray of Dawson, Michael Dale Driskell and Rellan of Chauncey, and Candace Moree and Clay of Leesburg; brother, Carlton Driskell and Marie of Warner Robins; sister, Ann Stokes of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Amy and Jon, Heidi and Rand, Brooke and Matt, Caitlin and Joel, Alexa, and Dane; and several great-grandchildren.
