Janice Marie Haire Broxton

Mrs. Janice Marie Broxton, 69, of Albany, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 30, 2023, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home of Leesburg, with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Mark Jackson and Rev. Matthew Schluckebier will officiate with interment to follow at 3:30 p.m. at South Mt. Zion Cemetery, in Colquitt.

Born May 9, 1954, in Albany, Janice was the daughter of the late Ralph Haire and Nellie Haire Blackburn. She graduated from Albany High School and worked many years for the Albany Housing Authority as a section 8 manager. She loved traveling and fishing, but nothing was dearer to her heart than her family, especially her grandbabies who called her “GiGi.” Janice was a long-time member of Life Church formerly known as Liberty Parkway Church of God and was currently a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend she will be greatly missed until we meet again in Heaven.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her baby girl, Nicole Marie Broxton.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Broxton; children, Misty Pate and Jason, and Mike Broxton and Heather all of Albany; grandchildren, Blayke, and Sawyer; and her sister, Jackie Church of Alpharetta.
