Jan Lafaye Barwick

Jan LaFaye Cook Barwick, 49, of Albany, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Willson Hospice House. A service honoring the life of Jan will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2016 at Beulah United Methodist Church, 900 S. County Line Rd. Albany, GA. 31705. Rev. Kenneth Lee West, Bro. Bill Copelan and Bro. Warren Taylor will officiate. Music will be provided by Don Scarbrough. Born September 15, 1966 in Albany, Jan was a caring and loving mother to her children. Her life was all about her family and cherishing the small things of life. She was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church and will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Survivors include her son, Timothy Keith Allen (Brittany) of Leesburg; daughter, Jala Ruth Barwick; companion, Jeffery Wells of Albany; mother, Janice McMillian Smith of Albany; brother, Dion Cook of GA; sister, Michelle Taylor (Warren) of Albany; grandchild, Phoenix Grey Allen of Leesburg; aunts, Vicki Copelan (Bill) of Leesburg and Kathy Scarbrough (Don) of Rentz, GA and best friend, Rosetta Strickland of Albany. She was preceded in death by her father, Don Cook and grandson, Heath Allen. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until the service at the church.
