James Wilson Sellers

Mr. James Wilson Sellers, 84, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Floral Memory Gardens. The family will visit with friends following the service at the cemetery. Rev. Wayne Lenderman will officiate.

Born February 18, 1940, in Leesburg, he was the son of the late James A. Sellers and Georgia Bolton Welcher. Mr. Sellers enjoyed playing football with Albany High School and later joined the military where he proudly served our country in the United States Army. He worked for R.C. Bottle Company, Yancey Parts, The Maine Corp Logistics Base in distribution, and owned an operated Sellers Sing Station of Albany. He was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord and his family dearly. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and racing cars at the drag strip in his younger years. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Tanner Sellers and his brother, Ronald Sellers.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Bass Sellers of Leesburg; his three children, Tammy Milling of Leesburg, James "Tony" Sellers and his wife Tammy of Adairsville; and Teresa Sellers of Leesburg; four grandchildren, Zachary Milling (Donna), Landen Sellers, Devan Milling, and Seth Sellers; two great grandchildren, Asher and Aryia; and a host of extended family members and friends.
