James Patrick Ray Stettnisch

Mr. James “Jim” Patrick Ray Stettnisch, 67, of Leesburg, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Mitchell County, 775 Pleasant Grove Church Rd. Albany, GA. 31705. Rev. Douglas Hatcher will officiate with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Born October 28, 1949 in Watsonville, California, Jim worked for many years in maintenance and could work on most anything. He enjoyed his Harley, playing poker, enjoyed his pet dogs, Jr., Roxie, and Scooter. He was of the Catholic faith. Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Hatcher Stettnisch; father, Donald W. Stettnisch; daughter, Angeline “Dee” Walter; twin infant daughters, Zelda and Barbara Stettnisch and sister, Jean Ferguson. Survivors include his daughter, Christy Rivers of Atlanta; mother, Barbara Lake Ferguson of Monterey, CA; brothers, Donald Stettnisch and Robert Ferguson both of Oregon; William “Bill” Ferguson of Salinas, CA; sister, Betty Lou Ferguson Colello of Carmel, CA; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2017 at Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home, 375 US Highway 19 S. Leesburg, GA. 31763.
