James Joseph Conlan, Jr.

Mr. James Joseph Conlan, Jr., 43, of Leesburg, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 3, 2019 in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Jim Davidson will officiate. Born October 19, 1975 in Albany, GA, Mr. Conlan was the son of the late James Joseph, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Holt. He proudly served his community and worked as a fire fighter for the Albany Fire Department for over 20 years. Jay adored his two daughters and loved nothing more than spending time with his girls and family. He was known as a frugal man and a bargain hunter but when it came to his children that went out the window. He loved going to church and attended Green Pastures in Albany. Jay loved the Lord and always had his bible with him. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Survivors include his children, Kalene Conlan and Madison Conlan; his five siblings, MaryAnn Conlan (Ricky), Lisa Vanzant (Gerald), David Barnes (Sondra), Rickey Barnes, and Larry Barnes; and ten nieces and nephews, Lisa, Juan, Erica, JoJo, Richard, Merissa, David Jr., Jessica, Richard, and Mary Ellen.
