James Albert Taylor

Mr. James Albert Taylor, 72, of Leesburg, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2017 at Joseph W Jones Funeral Home in Leesburg, GA. Joseph W. Jones will officiate and the burial will follow the service at Thundering Springs Cemetery. Born March 28, 1945 in Thomasville, Mr. Taylor was the son of the late Ollie Albert and Josephine Taylor. Mr. Taylor worked all of his life in the construction industry as a contractor. James enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He dearly loved his family and will be missed greatly by them all. Mr. Taylor was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Taylor is survived by his loving wife Kathy; his son Jamie Taylor of Leesburg; his sisters and brothers, Geraldine Bevins of Thomasville, Eugene Taylor of Ochlocknee, Linda Lodge of Pelham, Judy Harp of Albany, Sandy Harrell of Putney, Virginia Lewis of Morgan, Diane Rogers, David Taylor, Curtis Taylor, Jeffery Taylor, Larry Taylor all of Albany; and his granddaughter Ally Hankins. Along with Mr. Taylor’s parents he is also preceded in death by his sisters; Mary Ann Taylor and Evelyn Taylor.
