Hunter Webb Barfield

Hunter Webb Barfield, 22, of Leesburg, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Leesburg United Methodist Church. Rev. Lee Smith will officiate with interment to follow in the Leesburg Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be his cabin mates and counselors of Camp Sunshine. Born April 11, 1995 in Greenville, Mississippi, Hunter touched many lives through his life. He was manager for the Lee County baseball team and was a part of the drama club. He was also active with Camp Sunshine, loved LSU Sports and The Atlanta Braves. Hunter was a faithful member and volunteer of Leesburg United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bob and Norma Barfield and maternal grandparents, Carter and Henrietta Webb. Survivors include his father and mother, Mark and Emily Kay Webb Barfield of Leesburg; sister, Megan Lindsey Barfield of Leesburg; many aunts, uncles and cousins that he loved dearly. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Leesburg United Methodist Church.
