Herbert Richardson

August 9, 1935 — April 14, 2022

Mr. Herbert Richardson, 86, of Leslie, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A service honoring the life of Mr. Richardson will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2022, at Andersonville National Cemetery. The family will visit with friends following the service. Born August 9, 1935, in Colquitt, Mr. Richardson was the son of the late D.C. and Alice Wade Richardson. He retired from The United States Army and served in the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed fishing, working on lawn mowers, and loved to drive the country roads. He also liked trains and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Richardson, and son, Henry Richardson. Survivors include his children, Mary Wacaser of Andersonville, David Richardson and Donna of Leslie, Pamela Nutt and John of Americus, Michael Richardson, and also Grace Flowers of Leesburg; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
