George Franklin Holt

Mr. George Franklin Holt, 62, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away on Sunday morning, October 8, 2023, at his home.

A memorial service honoring his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Drayton Baptist Church in Vienna at 2505 River Road, Vienna, GA 31092.

Born on July 10, 1961, in Dawson, George was the son of the late George P. Holt, Jr. and Barbara Keown Holt. He worked as a motor mechanic the past ten years with Smith & Gray Electric Company. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the beach and riding motorcycles.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his sister, Mandy Carnes and his brother, David Holt.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Hudson Holt of Leesburg; children, Jeremy Holt of Union City, Lacy Holt of Savannah, and Jeb Holt of Leesburg; siblings, Marjorie Holt Black, Carrie Dominey and Todd, Lisa Holt Chalk and Richard all of Vienna and Jesse Holt and Ramona of Leesburg; grandchildren, Jaxon, Triston, and Delanie; several nieces and nephews.
