Faith Wisener Young

Mrs. Faith Wisener Young, 95, of Leesburg, passed away, Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Lee County Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 19, 2017 in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home, 375 US Highway 19 S. Leesburg, GA. 31763. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate with interment to follow at Smithville City Cemetery. Born November 13, 1921 in Tallapoosa County, AL, Mrs. Young was the daughter of the late Leslie Forrest and Ovada Mason Wisener. She retired as a payroll specialist with Coats and Clark, enjoyed painting, gardening, cooking and crocheting. She taught Sunday school for many years and had a special ministry of caring for the homebound. Mrs. Young was a former member of First Baptist Church of Leesburg and had been attending Amazing Grace Baptist Church of Lee County until her health declined. She will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched and we know she is enjoying Heaven with all those who had gone on before her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, Lynn Gray Hammond, Emory Davis and Rufus Ben Young; children, Mary Elaine Hammond Ellenburg and William Gray Hammond; step children, Joel Young and Shirley Davis Ivey; sisters, Leslie, Dale, Millie and Betty. Survivors include her children, Faith Lynette Hammond of Fayetteville, Richard M. and Marilyn Hammond of Dawson; step children, Donna Young Crow of Americus, Trent Young of Leesburg; brother, Keith Wisener of Smithville; 11 grandchildren, Crystal, Robert, Jennifer, Jason, Michelle, Lynn, James, Faith, Rebecca, Jacob, Matthew; numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
