Eunice Carol Salter Swain

Mrs. Eunice Carol Salter Swain, 91, of Albany, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Willson Hospice House in Albany.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Chuck Smith will officiate, and his wife will provide music. Active and honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m., in the Pebble Cemetery 2144 GA-37, Sale City, GA 31784.

Born on February 6, 1933, in Cordele, Mrs. Swain was the daughter of the late John Allan Salter and Ada Dora Gilbert Salter. She was a Christian woman who devoted her life to her family and had a very special bond with her great-grandson, Grayson. She was a long-time member of Kinchafoonee Baptist Church of Leesburg. She loved southern gospel music, good old-time preaching, and fishing. She will be greatly missed until we meet again on Heaven’s beautiful shore.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Swain was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hubert Richard Swain, son, Hubert Royce Swain, and her siblings, Nora Brett, Annie Fletcher, Betty Williams, LeRoy Salter, Louise Edenfield, and Harry Salter.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Mary Lee Moore and Ron, Steve Swain and Janice, Richard Edwin Swain and Gail, Danny Ray Swain, Sr., and Joey Swain and Julie; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and close friends, Rev. Chuck and Wilma Smith.

The family will be at the home of her son, Joey Swain at 3605 Old Dawson Rd. Albany, GA 31721.
