Ellen Marie Baggett

Ellen Marie Baggett, 65, of Leesburg, peacefully passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Willson Hospice House.

According to her wishes, there will be no formal services.

Born November 13, 1959, in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Harriett Gibson. Ellen worked for many years in the orthodontic industry as an orthodontic assistant and later moved to Panama City, Florida where she worked at Half Hitch Bait and Tackle and later Winn Dixie. She was an avid animal lover and had graciously donated time and funds to different shelters and organizations throughout the years. Most recently Ellen had spent time volunteering at the Council on Aging in Albany. When she was able, she enjoyed gardening and looking at social media outlets including Facebook. A beloved sister, aunt, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jerry Gibson and Catherine Lawson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her siblings, Dessely Brock (David) of Lee County, Jeane Jackson (Clifford) of Worth County, and Johnny Gibson of Lee County; nieces and nephews, Tommy Gibson, Mary Warwick, Earl McKinnon, Bryan McKinnon, Brenda Brock, Dawn Reardon, Daisy Lawson, and Kenneth Lawson; and her beloved fur babies Trixie and Oliver.

Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home was given the honor to serve Ellen’s family.
